Heaven, Hell or Hoboken

Main picture

In 1917 Americans were off to WWI. A few million of them got there via Hoboken. Believe it or not Hoboken was the primary point for sailors to ship out. General Pershing was once quoted as saying “by the winter on 1917 I will have all of you in heaven, hell, or Hoboken”.
Dad thought this amazing show should be my first museum opening. He was right. The show was good. A little funny watching dad wander my stroller through the crowds (mom skipped this one) but aside from that, great introduction to museum life.

  1. Grandma Hampton thinks I’ve gotten even CUTER since I left California a mere 2 weeks ago. Grandma thinks I’ve grown a bunch in 2 weeks too and can’t wait to come out to visit me again !

  2. Know, Coop, that over 100,000 American soldiers died in battle in WWI, and an astounding 300,000 American soldiers died in battle in WWII. Some went through Hoboken, all went through Hell.
    That’s important.
